Job Title: Internal Auditor
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits across hotel departments and operations.
- Review the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Support management in strengthening risk management, governance, and internal control processes.
- Audit hotel revenue, cash collections, expenditure, procurement, inventory, payroll, and other key financial and operational activities.
- Monitor compliance with approved policies, procedures, budgets, and applicable regulations.
- Identify control weaknesses, operational risks, irregularities, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare clear and comprehensive audit reports, including practical recommendations.
- Maintain appropriate audit documentation and working papers.
- Follow up on audit findings and recommendations to ensure timely implementation of agreed corrective actions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in internal audit, financial control, risk management, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, independence, and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's Degree / HND in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant accounting/audit software.
- Previous internal audit experience in the hotel/hospitality industry is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, investigative, report-writing, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of internal controls, audit procedures, risk management, and financial processes.
