We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Internal Auditor
Location: Abeokuta, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Accountabilities
- Verify daily cash reconciliations, point-of-sale (POS) reports, and Property Management System (PMS) logs to prevent leakage.
- Conduct routine physical counts of high-valueassets, linen, kitchen ingredients, and drinks inventory to minimize waste and theft.
- Provide the Executive Director and corporate leadership with clear reports on cost leakage, control failures, and concrete steps to fix them.
- Review the work of accounts to ensure room rates, taxes, adjustments, and metrics are properly recorded.
- Test compliance with food safety regulations, liquor licensing laws, data privacy (PCI-DSS for guest credit cards), and labor laws.
- Audit vendor contracts, purchase orders, and receiving logs to ensure competitive pricing and accurate ingredient/supply deliveries.
- Requirements and Qualifications
- Proficiency with industry software like Micros Opera / Oracle PMS, Simphony / POS systems, and inventory management tools.
- BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Professional credentials like Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) are strong assets.
- 3+ years of experience in internal audit, with at least 1 year directly inside a hotel, resort, or large-scale restaurant group operations.
- High integrity, sharp analytical skills, and the diplomacy needed to audit diverse teams.
