Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical support to staff and resolve hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, printers, scanners, internet devices, and other IT equipment.
- Manage and maintain the organisation’s computer systems, networks, servers, and other IT infrastructure.
- Set up and maintain user accounts, access rights, passwords, and system permissions.
- Monitor network connectivity, internet performance, and IT systems to ensure optimal availability.
- Perform routine maintenance, updates, upgrades, and troubleshooting of IT equipment and software.
- Implement and maintain data backup procedures to protect organisational information.
- Support the implementation of IT security measures, including antivirus protection, access controls, and system updates.
- Assist in identifying and addressing cybersecurity risks and incidents.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT equipment, software licences, and other technology assets.
- Ensure proper documentation of IT systems, configurations, incidents, and resolutions.
- Support staff with the use of Microsoft Office applications, email systems, cloud platforms, and other business applications.
- Assist with the onboarding and offboarding of employees by setting up and deactivating IT accounts and equipment.
- Recommend appropriate IT solutions, equipment, and software to improve operational efficiency.
