We are looking for an experienced IT Operations Lead to oversee the company’s IT infrastructure, systems, support operations, and technology service delivery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, security, and performance of IT systems while leading the IT operations team and working closely with business and technology stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the company’s IT infrastructure, systems, networks, and end-user technology.
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of critical IT systems and services.Develop and implement IT operations policies, procedures, standards, and controls.
- Manage IT support and ensure timely resolution of technical issues and service requests.
- Monitor system performance, availability, capacity, and overall infrastructure health.Lead incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Identify recurring issues and implement solutions to improve system reliability and service delivery.
- Manage user access, permissions, device management, and IT asset lifecycle.
- Oversee network, server, cloud, endpoint, backup, and other core IT infrastructure
- .Ensure appropriate backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes are in place and regularly tested.
- Work with cybersecurity teams or vendors to implement appropriate security controls and respond to security incidents.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and external IT partners.
- Monitor IT service providers against agreed SLAs and ensure issues are escalated and resolved appropriately.
- Prepare and manage IT operations budgets, infrastructure requirements, and technology procurement.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the IT operations and support team.
- Establish and monitor IT service performance metrics and prepare regular reports for management.
- Support technology projects, system implementations, upgrades, and migrations.
- Ensure IT operations comply with relevant company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve IT processes, automation, efficiency, and service quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure, systems administration, or a related technology role.
- At least 2–3 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Strong experience managing IT infrastructure, networks, servers, cloud environments, and enterprise applications.
- Experience with Windows/Linux environments and enterprise IT systems.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure, TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, and related technologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong understanding of IT service management principles, including incident, problem, change, and service request management.
- Experience managing IT vendors, service providers, and technology contracts.
- Experience with IT asset management and endpoint management.
- Good understanding of cybersecurity principles, access management, data protection, and IT controls.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in fintech, banking, payments, financial services, or other highly regulated environments.
ITIL certification or strong knowledge of ITIL practices.
Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Microsoft, AWS, Azure, CompTIA, or CISSP will be an advantage.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
Experience implementing IT automation and infrastructure improvements.
Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements within the financial services industry.
Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
