Vethan Concepts Group Limited (VCGL) is seeking an experienced and technically strong Laboratory Director to provide strategic, technical, and operational leadership for its laboratory services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage laboratory resources, procurement planning, budgets, and operational costs.
- Lead, mentor, and manage laboratory scientists, analysts, and technical staff.
- Manage laboratory quality assurance, quality control, audits, and continuous improvement.
- Represent the laboratory in client meetings, regulatory engagements, professional associations, and industry events.
- Develop and enforce laboratory SOPs, policies, and technical procedures.
- Oversee equipment calibration, maintenance, and laboratory asset management.
- Review and authorize technical reports and laboratory results where required.
- Drive improvements in productivity, turnaround time, service quality, and laboratory capabilities.
- Oversee analytical method validation, verification, and implementation.
- Lead and oversee laboratory operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and high-quality testing services.
- Provide technical support to Business Development and Client Relationship teams.
- Ensure laboratory safety, biosafety, and environmental compliance.
- Ensure compliance with IPAN, ISO/IEC 17025, GLP, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Mandatory Requirement
- A valid IPAN (Institute of Public Analysts of Nigeria) Certificate/Membership is mandatory.
- Candidates without active IPAN certification/membership will not be considered for this position.
