JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a solution driven Legal Services Officer to provide day-to-day legal support across our operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts (supply, distribu- tion, service, lease, NDA, employment, etc.) and maintain a central contract register.
- Provide clear, practical legal advice on all operations, HR, procurement, sales, and finance on business, compliance and regulatory issues.
- QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- LL.B (Law) and BL; called to the Nigerian Bar.
- Minimum 3-5 years' post-call experience, preferably in manufacturing, FMCG, or related industrial sectors.
- Monitor compliance with applicable Nigerian laws and regulations (corporate, commercial, labour, HSE, consumer, data protection, etc.) and support internal policies and SOPs.
- Manage and coordinate disputes, claims, and litigation in liaison with external counsel; track case status and costs.
- Conduct legal research, prepare legal opinions/mem- os, and support corporate governance tasks (board/- committee documentation, filings, statutory records). Support risk management by identifying legal exposures and recommending controls, clauses, and process improvements.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian commercial, contract, labour, corporate, and regulatory law. Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and handling disputes/litigation support.
- Good communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills; proficient in MS Office and legal research tools.
