Job Title: Machine Operations Superintendent
Location: : Nigeria
Job Purpose
The Machine Shop Lead oversees day-to-day operations within the casing and tubing thread facility, ensuring production goals, safety standards, and quality requirements are consistently met.
Key Accountabilities
- Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and respond to equipment breakdowns promptly.
- Participate in lean manufacturing and process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all casing and tubing threading meets API/ISO specifications and customer requirements.
- Oversee the operation, setup, and maintenance of CNC and manual threading machines.
- Support implementation of new technologies and equipment upgrades.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to improve machine reliability and performance.
- Conduct safety meetings, audits, and ensure corrective actions are taken when necessary.
- Work closely with quality control to resolve issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Requirements
- Education:
- Other engineering disciplines may also be considered.
- A Master's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (preferred).
Experience
Minimum 10 years in Fabrication/Installation Engineering, including offshore and yard-based project experience.
Must possess CORIN Certification or its equivalent.
Possess any Project/operations certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or Lean Six Sigma.
Strong experience in offshore/onshore fabrication and installation.
Good knowledge of major technical codes and standards (e.g., ASME, DNV, API).
Must possess an Engineering Certification in the field of competencies.
