We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Machinist
Location: Cross River
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Comply with factory Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) procedures and operating standards.
- Inspect completed components to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance of assigned machines and tools.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, measurements, and technical specifications.
- Machine components to specified dimensions and tolerances.
- Report equipment faults, material issues, defects, and safety concerns promptly.
- Use precision measuring instruments, including vernier calipers and micrometers, to verify finished components.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, drilling machines, and other relevant machining equipment.
- Requirements and Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Knowledge of precision measurement tools and machining tolerances.
- Minimum of SSCE, OND, or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, Machining, or a related technical discipline.
- Practical experience operating machining equipment.
- Ability to work safely with minimal supervision.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
