Job Title: Maintenance Manager
Location: Awe, Oyo

Job Purpose
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficient operation of all machinery, equipment, utilities, buildings, and technical infrastructure across the farm.
The role will lead preventive and corrective maintenance activities, minimise equipment downtime, and ensure maintenance standards are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment efficiency, reliability, and operational costs.
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and safe maintenance practices.
- Monitor the availability and appropriate use of critical spare parts, tools, and maintenance materials.
- Monitor the performance and condition of critical production equipment and infrastructure.
- Investigate recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment, maintenance activities, breakdowns, repairs, and spare parts.
- Prepare maintenance budgets and monitor expenditure to ensure cost-effective operations.
- Develop and monitor maintenance schedules for generators, electrical systems, pumps, HVAC systems, water systems, production equipment, and other critical assets.
- Prepare regular maintenance performance reports for management.
- Ensure timely identification and resolution of equipment breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
- Ensure all machinery and equipment are operated and maintained in accordance with manufacturer and company standards.
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans for farm equipment, machinery, facilities, and utilities.
- Manage maintenance-related contractors, technicians, and service providers.
- Lead the maintenance team and allocate daily maintenance activities based on operational priorities.
- Support the installation, commissioning, and upgrading of new equipment and facilities.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance reporting systems.
- Strong knowledge of HSE requirements and maintenance best practices.
- Good knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and facility maintenance systems.
- Experience managing maintenance teams, contractors, and service providers.
- Strong experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of industrial equipment and utilities.
- 8 years’ experience in maintenance management, preferably within poultry, agriculture, manufacturing, food processing, or a similar industrial environment.
- Ability to work in a demanding farm/industrial environment and respond to equipment emergencies when required.
- B.Sc./HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Good analytical, troubleshooting, planning, and problem-solving skills.
