KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Microfinance Bank.
- Develop and implement business strategies, annual plans, and growth initiatives.
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, customer acquisition, and market expansion.
- Oversee lending and credit operations, ensuring a healthy and sustainable loan portfolio.
- Develop strategies for effective loan recovery and management of non-performing loans.
- Ensure effective risk management, internal controls, and corporate governance.
- Ensure compliance with CBN regulations, relevant laws, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor the Bank’s financial performance, liquidity, capital position, and key performance indicators.
- Lead the development and implementation of products and services that meet customers’ needs.
- Oversee operational efficiency and ensure excellent customer service delivery.
- Establish performance targets and ensure accountability across all departments.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing management team.
- Identify business risks and opportunities and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Promote a strong culture of integrity, accountability, innovation, and regulatory compliance.
- Represent the institution at industry, regulatory, and stakeholder engagements.
- QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A Master’s Degree or relevant professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, CFA, or MBA will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in banking, microfinance, financial services, or a related sector.
- At least 10 years in senior management/leadership roles, preferably within a regulated financial institution.
- Strong understanding of microfinance banking, credit, risk management, financial management, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven track record of driving business growth and profitability.
- Strong knowledge of CBN regulatory requirements and the Nigerian financial services environment.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, business development, and team leadership.
- Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and corporate governance awareness.
