Job Summary

The ideal candidate should have practical

Experience

in mechanical maintenance, equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and fault diagnosis within a manufacturing, production, industrial, or similar environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and supporting production machinery, utilities, and other mechanical systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Mechanical Fitter / Technician to join our maintenance team.

with pumps, bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, valves, shafts, couplings, and related mechanical systems is an advantage.

2–5 years of relevant hands-on mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing, production, industrial, or FMCG environment.

Good safety awareness and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong practical knowledge of mechanical equipment, tools, and maintenance techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mechanical Maintenance & Repairs:
  • Replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical components.
  • Perform fitting, alignment, lubrication, bearing replacement, and other mechanical maintenance activities.
  • Diagnose mechanical faults and identify root causes of equipment breakdowns.
  • Carry out mechanical maintenance, repairs, adjustments, and installations on plant and production equipment.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
  • Production Equipment Support:
  • Assist with equipment installation, commissioning, modification, and relocation where required.
  • Work closely with production teams to resolve equipment-related issues.
  • Inspect machinery and identify potential mechanical issues before they result in breakdowns.
  • Provide technical support to production operations and ensure machinery remains available and reliable.
  • Utilities & Support Systems:
  • Maintain and support mechanical components of plant utility systems and auxiliary equipment.
  • Conduct routine inspections and report abnormalities or potential failures.
  • Assist with maintenance of pumps, compressors, conveyors, motors, piping systems, valves, and related equipment.
  • Preventive Maintenance:
  • Identify recurring faults and recommend corrective actions.
  • Inspect, service, lubricate, and adjust equipment as required.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and update equipment history.
  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance activities in accordance with maintenance plans.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain proper records of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Complete maintenance reports, work orders, checklists, and equipment logs accurately.
  • Report equipment faults, completed repairs, spare-parts requirements, and outstanding maintenance issues.
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • Apply proper lockout/tagout and isolation procedures where applicable.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Use appropriate PPE and ensure safe working practices during maintenance activities.
  • Report unsafe conditions, equipment hazards, and incidents promptly.
  • Follow all company health, safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
  • Coordination & Teamwork:
  • Assist other members of the engineering/maintenance team when required.
  • Support maintenance improvement initiatives and reliability programs.
  • Communicate equipment issues and maintenance
