Our Client is seeking a trained Medical Aesthetics Aesthetician to deliver safe, evidence-informed, non-surgical skin and beauty treatments within their verified competence and authorised scope.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform skin analysis and recommend appropriate treatment plans within approved service protocols and personal competence.
- Maintain treatment-room readiness, equipment checks, stock records, expiry-date checks, and product storage standards.
- Explain expected outcomes, limitations, downtime, possible side effects, preparation, and aftercare; obtain documented informed consent before treatment.
- Support client follow-up, review appointments, rebooking, service education, and responsible retail recommendations.
- Conduct detailed aesthetic consultations covering skin concerns, goals, medical history, medications, allergies, previous procedures, lifestyle factors, and contraindications.
- Monitor clients during and after procedures, recognise adverse reactions, provide approved first response, and escalate promptly to the supervising clinician or emergency service.
- Take standardised before-and-after photographs with written client consent and maintain confidential treatment records.
- Decline unsuitable treatments and refer clients with suspicious lesions, active infections, severe acne, pregnancy-related restrictions, unrealistic expectations, or other medical concerns.
- Carry out patch tests where required and document products, devices, settings, batch details, and client responses.
- Deliver authorised non-invasive or minimally invasive aesthetic services only where appropriately trained, certified, insured, supervised, and legally permitted.
- Follow strict infection-control, skin-preparation, equipment-cleaning, PPE, sharps, and waste-disposal protocols.
- Provide evidence-informed skincare and aftercare advice without diagnosing medical conditions or making misleading claims.
- Qualifications and
Experience
Strong understanding of skin anatomy, skin types, contraindications, infection prevention, consent, adverse-event recognition, and aftercare.
Documented procedure-specific training and practical
for every treatment offered.
Ability to work at either Berger or Abule Egba as assigned.
Any professional registration, licence, medical supervision, insurance, or facility approval required for the assigned procedures must be current and verifiable.
Recognised aesthetics, beauty therapy, skincare, nursing, or related qualification relevant to the procedures to be performed.
Excellent attention to detail, ethical judgement, discretion, communication, and client-management skills.
Clear understanding of the boundary between aesthetic practice and medical diagnosis or treatment.
Basic Life Support, first aid, or complication-management training is strongly preferred.
