Skyshore Downstream & Marketing Limited is expanding its lubricants business and is seeking an experienced, strategic and results-driven National Sales Manager to lead and drive sales growth across its regional markets in Nigeria.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the national sales strategy, managing regional sales teams, strengthening distribution networks, expanding market share and delivering agreed sales volume targets.

This position is strictly for professionals with a proven background in the lubricants industry, established industry relationships and a verifiable track record of achieving measurable sales results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement national sales strategies to achieve the company’s sales volume, revenue and market expansion objectives.
  • Lead, coordinate and monitor regional sales operations across assigned territories.
  • Set regional and team sales targets, track performance and take appropriate action to address gaps.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, fleet operators, industrial customers, dealers and other key lubricant buyers.
  • Identify new business opportunities, develop strategic accounts and expand the company’s presence in existing and emerging markets.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and performance management for regional sales teams.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer needs to inform sales planning and business decisions.
  • Prepare and submit regular sales performance reports, forecasts and market intelligence to management.
  • Work closely with management and relevant departments to support product availability, customer service and effective sales operations.
  • Ensure sales activities are aligned with company policies, commercial objectives and agreed performance commitments.
  • Candidate Requirements
  • Applicants must:
  • Have a minimum of 8–10 years of verifiable experience in automotive and/or industrial lubricants sales, including substantial experience in a senior sales leadership role.
  • Possess an established network of distributors, fleet operators, industrial customers, dealers and key lubricant buyers across Nigeria.
  • Demonstrate a consistent and verifiable record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Have proven experience leading, managing and developing regional or national sales teams.
  • Possess strong strategic sales planning, negotiation, business development and relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to expand distribution channels, develop new markets and grow existing customer accounts.
  • Have strong commercial awareness and the ability to analyse sales performance, market opportunities and business risks.
  • Be capable of setting and managing agreed sales volume targets and holding teams accountable for results.
  • Be willing to travel nationally as required.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial lubricants and experience in managing large-scale lubricant distribution will be an added advantage.
