NYSC Corps Member
to join our team as a Social Media Intern / Content Creator.
The ideal candidate should be passionate about digital marketing, content creation, and social media growth, and able to develop engaging content that promotes our products and services, strengthens brand visibility, attracts customers, and supports business growth.
This opportunity is for a motivated corps member seeking practical digital marketing experience while making meaningful contributions to a growing pharmacy brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Social Media Management & Content Creation
- Assist in managing and growing our Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other relevant digital platforms.
- Create engaging graphics, product photos, Reels, short videos and Stories.
- Develop weekly content calendars and maintain a consistent posting schedule.
- Write creative captions, engaging hooks, and compelling calls to action.
- Research social media trends and suggest fresh content ideas that align with the Med-Rems brand.
- Product Marketing & Brand Promotion
- Create attractive content showcasing our healthcare, wellness, skincare, and beauty products.
- Assist with product photography, video shoots, promotional campaigns, and seasonal marketing activities.
- Develop creative ideas to increase product awareness, customer inquiries, and store visits.
- Support brand awareness campaigns for our Abule-Odu and Abule-Ado branches.
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure health-related content is accurate, professional, and approved before publication.
- Digital Marketing & Customer Engagement
- Support efforts to improve our visibility on Google Business Profile, Instagram and TikTok through local SEO and relevant content.
- Assist with Instagram and Facebook advertising campaigns.
- Monitor comments, messages and customer inquiries, referring clinical questions to the pharmacist.
- Explore opportunities for collaborations with local businesses and content creators.
- Suggest strategies to increase followers, engagement, WhatsApp inquiries and customer conversions.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track social media performance, including reach, engagement, follower growth and enquiries.
- Research competitors, customer interests and emerging digital marketing trends.
- Prepare simple weekly reports on content performance and marketing activities.
- Recommend practical ideas to improve online visibility, engagement and business growth.
- Qualifications & Requirements
- Must be a current or prospective NYSC Corps Member posted to Lagos State and eligible to undertake their primary assignment with Med-Rems Pharmacy.
- HND or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Digital Media, Business Administration or a related field.
- Previous work experience is not compulsory, but practical content creation skills are essential.
- Proficiency in Canva, CapCut, InShot, or similar design and video-editing tools.
- Demonstrated ability to create attractive product photographs, engaging Reels, short-form videos, and quality social media designs.
- A portfolio showcasing previous content creation work, including graphics, product photography or videos, is mandatory.
- Strong creativity, copywriting, storytelling, and communication skills.
- Good understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and current social media trends.
- Basic knowledge of Meta Business Suite, Google Business Profile, and social media analytics.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and contribute original marketing ideas.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and willing to take initiative.
- Must be available to work on-site at our Abule-Odu, Egbeda branch during the NYSC service year, subject to NYSC requirements.
