An educationally based industry association with its headquarter in Ibadan and membership spread across the country invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position below:
Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will assist the Executive Secretary to:
- Support membership growth, engagement and retention initiatives.
- Identify partnership, sponsorship and funding opportunities for the Association.
- Manage membership records, subscriptions, correspondence and official documentation.
- Ensure efficient use of the Association’s resources and compliance with approved procedures.
- Implement policies, programmes and decisions approved by the Executive Council.
- Prepare operational reports, budgets, work plans and meeting documents.
- Coordinate the day-to-day administrative and operational activities of the Association.
- Maintain effective communication with members, government agencies, development partners and other stakeholders.
- Supervise administrative staff and external service providers.
- Represent the Association at meetings and events when authorised.
- Coordinate meetings, conferences, workshops, book fairs and other industry events.

Experience
Applicants should possess:
A postgraduate degree will be an added advantage
Knowledge of the book industry will be an added advantage.
A minimum of five years’ relevant
in a similar role.
A Bachelor’s degree in Art or commercial discipline.
Required Competencies:
Strong interpersonal, negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple
Responsibilities
and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant digital tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to travel when required.
Strong leadership and organisational skills.
High level of integrity, professionalism and attention to detail.
