Job Title: Operations Manager (Oil Waste Management)
Location: Koko, Delta

Job Summary
The role ensures smooth coordination across environmental consultancy, pollution control, haulage, and marine services.
To oversee and manage the operational activities of the company’s oil waste management division, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, optimizing resource utilization, and driving efficiency in petroleum, industrial, medical, and domestic waste management services.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to Nigerian environmental laws, DPR (Department of Petroleum Resources) guidelines, and international best practices.
- Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations of oil waste management projects, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
- Marine Services: Coordinate marine waste management operations, including offshore waste collection and spill response.
- Logistics & Haulage: Oversee haulage operations, ensuring timely and safe transportation of waste and petroleum products.
- Financial Management: Develop budgets, monitor expenditure, and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor operational staff, drivers, engineers, and marine crew to achieve performance targets.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with oil & gas clients, government agencies, and stakeholders.
- Project Management: Plan, execute, and monitor waste management projects, including petroleum product recovery, industrial waste disposal, and medical/domestic waste treatment.
- Environmental Consultancy: Provide technical input on pollution control strategies, environmental impact assessments, and sustainability initiatives.
- Key Requirements
- Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO 14001) is an added advantage.
- Proven leadership and project management skills
- 10 - 12 years experience in oil & gas operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Degree in Environmental Sciences, Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field.
- Strong knowledge of pollution control, waste treatment technologies, and marine operations
Knowledge and Skills
Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems.
Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilities

Knowledge of environmental compliance and pollution control
Salary: N1.2 million – N1.5 million per month (Net Salary) (However, the salary can be negotiated upward depending on the candidate’s experience).
