Job Title: Operations Supervisor
Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full time
Job Summary
Our client is seeking a highly organised and analytical Operations Supervisor to support the efficient and seamless delivery of its business operations.
The role also involves working closely with Finance, HR, IT, Commercial, and other teams to resolve operational issues and drive continuous process improvement.
The successful candidate will oversee daily operational activities, coordinate vendors and service providers, support procurement and supply chain activities, monitor inventory and distribution, prepare operational reports, and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the department's procurement requests; raising purchase orders, obtaining approvals, and reconciling invoices
- Monitor daily operational activities and ensure adherence to established processes and service standards
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure contract compliance and timely service delivery
- Resolve operational issues promptly and escalate complex matters to management.
- Track stock levels, manage reorder processes, and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments
- Support the implementation of new systems, tools, and process changes within the operations function
- Liaise with finance, HR, IT, and commercial teams on cross-functional operational matters
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational performance reports for management review
- Support regulatory compliance activities including documentation, internal audits, and regulatory submissions
Requirements
Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements applicable to the
FMCG
industry: Bachelor's Degree (minimum Second Class Lower) in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Economics, or a related field
Knowledge of stock management principles, procurement cycles, and logistics coordination
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously without compromising quality
3-5 years of relevant work experience in an operations or process management role
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
