Job Summary
The role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
The Peri-Operative Nurse will support surgical procedures by providing high-quality nursing care before, during, and after operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the surgical team to improve workflow and patient experience.
- Maintain accurate surgical records and adhere to safety and quality protocols
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control standards
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall condition throughout the perioperative phase
- Prepare operating rooms and ensure the availability of required instruments and equipment
- Assist surgeons and anaesthetists during procedures while maintaining a sterile environment
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, including patient assessment, documentation and recovery support
Requirements
Previous
Experience
in surgical or theatre nursing settings
Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills
Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Certification or formal training in perioperative nursing is an added advantage
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and operating room (OR)protocols
Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license.
