Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul Hospital is a faith based hospital located in Kubwa, Abuja that provides high quality healthcare services to patients. The aim of establishing this facility is to bridge the gap between the formal public health services and the health needs of the people especially those in rural areas. We offer general health and medical services.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Location: Kubwa, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Accountabilities
- Educating patients and caregivers on the appropriate use of medication, including frequency and method of intake or application
- Helping patients purchase their prescriptions
- Referring patients to the pharmacist for more in-depth medical questions related to prescriptions
- Filling and labelling of medical containers.
- Answering prescription-related questions
- Maintaining sufficient stock of all needed medications.
- Processing medical insurance claims
- Managing Pharmacy inventory
- Helping patients locate over-the-counter medications
- Checking the quality and the sources of drugs before dispensing
- To ensure and adhere to standard pharmacy safety measures and checks, etc.
- Ensuring medications are properly stored.
- Answering the pharmacy phone
Qualifications
- Computer skills: Candidate must have good knowledge of computers and EHMRS
- Registration: The ideal candidate must be a member of the relevant professional body, the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN)
- Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years of work experience.
- Professional License: Must have a valid and updated practicing license
- Academic: Minimum academic qualification of Pharmacy Technician Certificate.
