Job Title: Procurement Specialist (Cosmetics & Soaps)
Location: Yaba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Core Responsibilities
Import & Regulatory Execution: Manage the complete import process—foreign vendor management, Form M & PAAR processing, NAFDAC/SONCAP compliance, port clearing, and factory delivery.
Material Requirements Planning: Utilize ERP inventory data to calculate Days of Stock (DOS) and determine exact purchase quantities and reorder timing to guarantee zero production downtime.
Global & Local Sourcing: Source chemical raw materials (emulsifiers, active ingredients, fragrances) and primary packaging (jars, bottles, pumps) across Asia, Europe, and local markets.
Commercial Negotiation: Drive negotiations on unit pricing, payment terms, LCs, and Incoterms to minimize landed costs.
Requirements
- Qualification: Degree in Supply Chain, Chemistry, or related field. CIPS/CIPSM certification is an advantage.
- Autonomous Decision-Maker: Ability to translate production schedules into buying plans and manage high-value vendor contracts independently.
- Systems Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, or ERPNext) and inventory analytics.
- Proven Import Track Record: Hands-on experience navigating foreign sourcing alongside Nigerian shipping lines, customs, and NAFDAC clearance.
- 5–8 Years Experience in FMCG manufacturing procurement (Must have direct personal care, soap, cosmetics, or chemical raw material exposure).
