The Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) is a public, conventional, coeducational, research university located in Gusau, Zamfara State, Nigeria. The University is one of the twelve new federal Universities which were established in States where none existed, and shall offer programmes in Arts-based and Science-based disciplines.
The establishment of the University commenced on 18th February 2013, while it started its first academic year in the 2014/2015 Session. The core academic structure of FUGUS is developed based upon the approved guidelines of the National Universities Commission (NUC) in the Benchmark Minimum Academic Standards (BMAS) documents, as well as other norms from relevant stakeholders, e.g. professional societies.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:
Job Title: Professor (Cybersecurity)

Requirements
- Candidates must have a substantial and continuing research record, including not less than fifteen (15) scholarly publications in reputable journals and not less than ten (10) edited conference proceedings, subject to the University's assessment criteria.
- Evidence of postgraduate supervision at Master's and Ph.D. levels, academic leadership, mentoring, administrative competence and subject to favourable external assessment is required.
- Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in the relevant field with at least twelve (12) years' University teaching experience, including at least three (3) years as Reader, or satisfy the equivalent requirements under the University's approved conditions of service.
- How to Apply

- Names and addresses of three (3) referees, one of whom must be the applicant's current Head of Department or immediate superior, where applicable.
- Details of administrative experience and community service.
- State of origin and Local Government Area.

- Academic and professional qualifications obtained with dates.
- Functional e-mail address and GSM telephone number.
- Evidence of professional/academic honours and distinctions, where applicable.
- Post applied for and Department/Faculty.
- Detailed employment history, stating positions held, institutions, dates and responsibilities.
- Present employment, rank, grade level/step and salary structure, where applicable.
- Full Name (in capital letters).
