The Youth and Women Peacebuilding Foundation (YAWP Foundation) is a Nigerian-based non-profit organisation incorporated in May 2026, dedicated to building lasting peace and empowering vulnerable communities. We focus on youth, women, and other marginalised groups in fragile and conflict-affected areas. Ouroverall goal is to promote sustainable peace, reduce conflict and violence, and empower individuals and communities, especially youth, women, and vulnerable groups, to achieve economic self-reliance and social cohesion through inclusive development and livelihood opportunities.

Job Brief
This includes developing project plans, managing resources, tracking progress, and communicating with stakeholders.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in planning, executing, and delivering projects on time and within budget. The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initiation to closure.
Responsibilities
- Program Leadership and Management
- :
- Develop and monitor program performance indicators and ensure timely corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure projects are implemented in accordance with approved work plans, budgets, donor requirements, and organizational policies.
- Support the design and implementation of Peacebuilding and Livelihood and economic interventions targeting vulnerable populations.
- Provide strategic guidance to project teams to ensure quality program delivery and achievement of project objectives.
- Lead the planning, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of projects across YAWP’s thematic sectors.
- Program Development and Resource Mobilization:
- Prepare high-quality donor reports, project updates, and organizational briefs.
- Identify funding opportunities and support strategic partnership development.
- Contribute to the development of project budgets, logframes, work plans, and implementation strategies.
- Lead proposal development, concept note writing, donor mapping, and fundraising initiatives.
- Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL):
- Monitor project indicators and support evidence-based decision-making.
- Ensure Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) mechanisms are functional and responsive.
- Ensure robust monitoring, evaluation, learning, and accountability systems are integrated into all programs.
- Support data collection, analysis, documentation of lessons learned, and dissemination of best practices.
- Coordination and Representation:
- Strengthen collaboration and partnerships that enhance program impact and sustainability.
- Represent YAWP Foundation in sector coordination meetings, technical working groups, clusters, forums, and stakeholder engagements.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with government agencies, donors, UN agencies, INGOs, NGOs, community leaders, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Team Management and Capacity Building:
- Promote teamwork, accountability, learning, and professional development within the organization.
- Supervise, mentor, and support program staff and volunteers.
- Facilitate capacity-strengthening initiatives for staff and community stakeholders.
- Cross-Cutting Themes:
- Uphold humanitarian principles and organizational values at all times.
- Promote community participation and localization approaches in program implementation.
- Ensure mainstreaming of Protection, Gender, Inclusion, Safeguarding, Disability Inclusion, Climate Change Adaptation, and Conflict Sensitivity across all projects.

Requirements
- & Qualifications
- Applicants should have:
- Applicants must demonstrate integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and commitment to safeguarding.
- A minimum of HND, BSc and MSc in Social Work, Sociology, Gender Studies, Community Development, International Development, or a related field.
- Demonstrated
Experience
in Program, Budget and People Management.
At least 2-3 years in program coordination, project management, or a similar role.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
working with NGOs, communities, youth, women, or other relevant stakeholders is an advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and relevant digital tools.
