KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support implementation and continual improvement of the Company's QHSE/IMS requirements, including ISO 900, 1400 and ISO 45001.
- Coordinate QHSE activities across projects, workshops, yards and client locations, ensuring compliance with approved procedures, specifications, standards and client requirements.
- Prepare and implement Quality, ITPs, inspection programmes, risk controls and mobilisation requirements.
- Conduct and coordinate inspections, audits, testing and quality surveillance, including hold/witness points, material treability and calibrators.
- Manage NCRs, defects, punch items, observations and corrective actions through effective closure.
- Monitor rework, recurring defects, complaints and quality trends and recommend corrective and improvement actions.
- Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, audit findings, registers and project dossiers.
- Monitor contractor and supplier quality performance and compliance. Support client, regulatory, certification and third-party audits and inspections.
- Prepare and analyse QHSE reports and performance data, escalating significant quality risks and oversee actions.
- Promote quality ownership, right-first-time delivery and continual improvement across all assigned activities.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Engineering, Quality Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
NITRified, ISO or recognised equivalent certification, ISO 900, ISO 1400 and ISO 45001 internal Auditor training;
Lead Auditor qualification is an advantage.
Training in incident investigation, root cause analysis, risk assessment, permit to work and emergency response.
Minimum 8 years's progressive QHSE, QA/QC, HSE, environmental or IMS experience, preferably in oil & gas, EPC, construction, maintenance or industrial services.
Minimum 3 years in a lead or supervisory role coordinating personnel and multiple work fronts/projects.
Practical experience implementing ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
Experience with inspections, audits, corrective actions, Quality/QHS Plans and ITPs.
Working knowledge of Nigerian QHSE and environmental requirements.
Experience supervising contractors and interfacing with clients, auditors and inspectors.
Storing reporting, analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
Membership of IOSH, NISP, CQ/RICA, IIRSM, ASQ, COREN or equivalent is an advantage.
