Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager
Location: Calabar, Cross River
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary
The role oversees quality assurance activities, documentation, audits, deviations, CAPA, and continuous improvement to ensure the production of safe, effective, and quality-assured healthcare products.
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring that all Pharmauetical manufacturing processes, products, and quality systems comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory requirements, and established quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Provide GMP training and promote a strong quality culture across the organisation.
- Coordinate product complaints, product recalls, and investigations where necessary.
- Coordinate internal, supplier, and regulatory audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
- Oversee validation activities, document control, and quality risk assessments.
- Work closely with Quality Control (QC), Production, Warehouse, and other departments to resolve quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, NAFDAC requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Manage deviations, non-conformances, change controls, investigations, and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Ensure proper documentation, data integrity, and continuous improvement of quality processes.
- Monitor manufacturing and packaging processes to ensure compliance with approved procedures.
- Review and approve Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), Batch Packaging Records (BPR), SOPs, and other quality documents.
- Prepare quality reports and monitor quality performance indicators.
Requirements
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- B.Pharm, B.Sc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or another relevant scientific discipline.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and commitment to product quality and patient safety.
- Knowledge of NAFDAC requirements and applicable healthcare manufacturing regulations.
- Experience managing quality audits, inspections, and compliance documentation.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, QMS, CAPA, deviation management, change control, and validation.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in quality assurance within pharmaceutical, healthcare, or regulated manufacturing, including at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Relevant GMP or Quality Management certification is an advantage.
