Job Title: Quality Assurance / Quality Control Superintendent
Location: : Nigeria
Job Purpose
Achieving efficiency and utilization as per technical specifications, providing theoretical training and ensuring practical training whenever required.
Key Accountabilities
- Resolve on-site technical issues, including alignment, depth control, or welding.
- Responsible for ensuring that members of his crew understand and observe all safety rules while working, implementing all Health and Safety Standards and Policies.
- Responsible for ensuring that all non-compliances are reported and addressed by his crew when they occur. Monitoring processes, identifying any defects, and proposing changes.
- Prepare and present progress reports, method statements, and technical documentation.
- Streamlining existing systems to achieve operational efficiency and productivity as per the Company's goals and Client's expectations.
- Analyzing potential threats that can affect smooth operation and planning alternative solutions.
- Ensuring proper management, cataloguing, updating, and sharing of all documentation (technical specifications, procedures, operational processes, standards, etc.).
Requirements
- Also, the preferred person should have the potential to write/develop the required Quality Management System and to propose new techniques that provide maximum quality and lower cost.
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field from a reputable University.
- Must be a good Team Leader who can manage crew and prioritize tasks for optimum results.
- Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience, of which 10 years shall be in the same role at management level. Have the ability to train subordinates for succession planning.
- Competency Requirements
- Very strong knowledge of ISO standards and QMS, able to support HSE.
- Evidence of ability to plan a skill matrix for team members and manage the succession plan process for the Department.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards (API, DNV, ASME, AWS, ASTM).
- Proven record for successfully managing projects from the preliminary stage to completion in fabrication and welding techniques.
- Being able to analyze any potential threats that can affect smooth operation and plan alternative solutions.
