Location: Sagamu, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time (Onsite)
Role Summary
To perform microbiological sampling and testing of water, air and finished products in accordance with approved specifications and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- To Prepare SOP. Handle New document initiation, change control, deviation activity of Micro department. Handle incidence and OOS/OOT of Micro department.
- To handle auto clave related activity.
- To perform area monitoring of production area, microbiology laboratory area, dynamic pass box, and reverse laminar air flow as per SOP. To handle fumigation activity in microbiology department. To prepare Specification, Method of Analysis, Analytical Test Report of product.
- To prepare / review trend chart of water analysis and area monitoring. To maintain cGMP in laboratory. To maintain instrument and microbiology laboratory cleaning record. To maintain temperature record of incubator, refrigerator and microbiology in the laboratory and differential pressure reading of microbiology laboratory. To perform operation and calibration of equipment as per SOP.
- To handle and procurement of media and other required item. To handle media preparation and discarding activity. To perform all microbiological analysis e.g. growth promotion test, culture transfer, culture suspension preparation, holding time study, validation, nitrogen gas analysis, compressed air analysis, personnel monitoring of production area etc.
- To procure the culture from outside agency as per requirement and to handle microbial standard culture activity as per sop and maintain related records. To handle swab sampling and analysis activity. (dirty equipment & clean equipment/utensil)
- To prepare trend for environment monitoring. To support in area validation and water system validation.
- To maintain all documents related to microbiology laboratory.
- To perform microbiological sampling and testing of water, air and finished products in accordance with approved specifications and procedures.
- Qualification and
Experience
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Microbiology or a related discipline.
5-8 years of microbiological Quality Control
in the pharmaceutical API or regulated manufacturing industry.
Technical Competencies:
Microbiological testing, environmental monitoring, cGLP, data integrity and laboratory documentation
