Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular quality checks on raw materials, food preparation, production, packaging, and finished products.
- Ensure compliance with approved recipes, SOPs, QCPs, food safety, and hygiene standards.
- Monitor food handling, storage, cooking, holding, and serving temperatures.
- Inspect kitchen, production, packaging, and storage areas for compliance with required standards.
- Identify, document, and report quality and food safety issues.
- Monitor product consistency, portion sizes, presentation, taste, and overall quality.
- Follow up on corrective actions and ensure identified issues are properly resolved.
- Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, temperature checks, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
- Support investigations into customer complaints and quality-related incidents.
- Provide guidance to staff on food safety, hygiene, and quality requirements.
- Prepare and submit quality control reports as required.
- Escalate significant or recurring quality concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
Requirements
HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Food Safety, or a related role, preferably within the food or hospitality industry.
Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Knowledge of HACCP principles is an added advantage.
Strong attention to detail and observation skills.
Good communication, documentation, and reporting skills.
Ability to identify quality issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and across different shifts when required.
Must be responsible, proactive, and committed to maintaining high quality standards.
Scope of work:
Days of Work: Monday – Sunday
Working Hours: 8AM – 8PM
Shift Schedule: One day on,One day off.
