Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Job Summary
The Quality Control Officer is responsible for ensuring that products, materials, and processes meet established quality standards and company requirements.
The role involves inspecting products, identifying defects, maintaining accurate quality records, managing team members, and working with relevant teams to resolve quality issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate quality control records and documentation.
- Manage and coordinate assigned team members.
- Monitor compliance with quality control procedures and standards.
- Prepare regular quality control reports for management.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and packaging of products.
- Ensure team members follow established quality procedures.
- Conduct quality checks and tests according to established procedures.
- Identify, document, and report defects, non-conformities, and quality issues.
- Investigate the causes of quality problems and assist in implementing corrective actions.
- Inspect raw materials, products, and finished goods to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and applicable quality standards.
- Report quality concerns and significant findings directly to the CEO.
Requirements
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Minimum of Diploma, OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
- Good knowledge of quality control procedures and inspection techniques.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Basic computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Previous
Experience
in quality control, production, inventory, or a related role is an advantage.
Ability to maintain accurate documentation and records.
Ability to use inventory software.
