Job Summary
CarePoint Hospitals is seeking a qualified and experienced Radiographer to join our team and provide safe, accurate, and high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure proper infection prevention and control practices during imaging procedures.
- Work closely with Radiologists, Physicians, Nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and care.
- Perform diagnostic imaging examinations, including X-rays and other imaging procedures within the scope of practice.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, professional guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring appropriate positioning and exposure.
- Operate and maintain radiographic equipment in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records and imaging documentation.
- Apply radiation safety and protection measures for patients, staff, and visitors at all times.
- Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement activities, and relevant training programmes.
- Review images for quality and ensure that required views have been appropriately obtained.
- Monitor the condition and functionality of imaging equipment and promptly report faults or maintenance needs.
- Prepare patients for examinations and explain procedures clearly to ensure their comfort and cooperation.
Requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good patient-care and customer-service skills.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
- Previous experience in a hospital, diagnostic centre, or healthcare facility is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Radiography.
- Good knowledge of radiographic procedures, patient positioning, radiation protection, and imaging protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid registration and practising licence with the relevant regulatory body in Nigeria.
- Ability to operate radiographic equipment safely and effectively.
