About the Job

They are seeking a Sales Officer who will be responsible for driving sales growth and building strong relationships with customers.

The role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, promoting and selling the company’s products or services, maintaining existing customer relationships, following up on leads and inquiries, meeting sales targets, preparing sales reports, and contributing to the overall achievement of the company’s sales objectives.

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain long-term relationships for repeat business and referrals.
  • Highlight ROI, payback period, and long-term savings in proposals.

  • Build a pipeline of residential, commercial, and industrial prospects.

  • Conduct site visits and feasibility assessments.

  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and customer preferences.

Qualifications

  • Have built and managed a sales team or agent network before — or can clearly demonstrate the recruiting, coaching and people-management instincts required to build one quickly.
  • Are comfortable with field work in Lagos, including site visits, customer meetings and managing agents on the ground.
  • Have strong CRM hygiene and a respect for data — you'd rather log a call now than forget the details later.
  • Communicate exceptionally well, both verbally and in writing. You listen actively, present confidently, and adjust your style to suit a homeowner, an SME owner or a corporate procurement manager.
  • Have 2–3 years of proven sales experience in a B2B or B2C environment, with a track record of consistently meeting or exceeding targets. Experience in solar, power, FMCG, financial services or any field-sales-heavy industry is a strong plus.
  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
  • Are self-motivated, target-driven and resilient. You handle rejection without losing momentum and find energy in hitting and exceeding quotas.
