Job Title: School and Hostel Nurse
Location: Oyo
Role Description
The School and Hostel Nurse is a full-time, on-site role located at LEAD British International School, Ibadan. The nurse will provide comprehensive health services to pupils and students during school hours and within the hostel, including routine health assessments, first aid, and emergency care.
The role also involves coordinating referrals to external healthcare providers when necessary and ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety standards.
Daily responsibilities include managing the school clinic, administering medications as prescribed, monitoring ongoing health conditions, and maintaining accurate medical records.
The nurse will promote school health and hygiene practices, support health education initiatives, and collaborate with school leadership, teachers, and parents/guardians to address students’ physical and emotional well-being.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a school, pediatric clinic, or community health setting is highly beneficial.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection, including adherence to school policies and regulatory requirements.
- Valid nursing license/registration and relevant professional certifications in Nigeria.
