The Security Guard / Groundsman is responsible for maintaining the security, cleanliness, safety, and general appearance of the company’s premises.
The Security / Grounds man monitors access to the facility, conducts routine patrols, protects company property, maintains the surrounding grounds, identifies and reports security or safety. concerns, and supports general facility maintenance activities
Essential Job Functions
Security and Access Control – Monitor the premises, control access of staff, visitors, and vehicles, and prevent unauthorized entry
Grounds Maintenance – Keep the surroundings, walkways, parking areas, and other outdoor spaces clean, neat, and orderly.
Protection of Company Property – Safeguard company buildings, equipment, materials, and other assets and ensure gates, doors, and other access points are properly secured.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Minimum of Secondary School Certificate (SSCE/WAEC/NECO) or equivalent.
Basic ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
Experience: Previous experience in security, facility maintenance, or groundskeeping is desirable
Skills & Knowledge: Good Communication Skills – Ability to communicate clearly with staff, visitors, contractors, and supervisors.
Integrity and Honesty – Trustworthiness and responsible handling of company property and information.
