We are looking to hire an experienced and result-driven Senior Civil Engineer to join our construction team.
We are a growing real estate development and construction company delivering high-quality residential projects across prime locations in Lagos.
Key Accountabilities
- Plan and monitor daily and weekly construction activities to ensure timely project delivery.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and site teams.
- Identify technical and construction issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate with consultants, architects, Quantity Surveyors, suppliers, batching plant, and other project teams.
- Ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and HSEQ requirements.
- Prepare and review site reports and provide updates on project progress and challenges.
- Supervise and coordinate civil and structural construction activities across assigned project sites.
- Monitor concrete works, reinforcement, formwork, blockwork, foundations, structural works, and other construction activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Interpret and implement architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.
- Inspect completed works and identify defects or deviations requiring correction.
- Monitor project progress, materials, manpower, equipment, and resource utilisation.
- Supervise Junior engineers, foremen, artisans, subcontractors, and other site personnel.
- Ensure proper site documentation and adherence to approved construction methods.
Requirements
- Strong experience in building construction and reinforced concrete works.
- COREN registration or professional certification is an added advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
- Ability to manage multiple site activities and work effectively under pressure.
- Minimum of 7 years' relevant construction/site experience.
- Good leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site practices.
- B.Sc./B.Eng. in Civil Engineering or a related field.
