Job Summary
The successful candidate will handle technical issues, support customers after installation, and provide guidance to junior technicians.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Solar Technician with strong expertise in solar systems installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and after-sales service.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle after-sales service requests, including repairs, maintenance, warranty cases, and technical support.
- Install, commission, maintain, and repair solar systems, inverters, batteries, and related equipment.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
- Conduct site visits, system assessments, and troubleshooting as required.
- Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate team when required.
- Provide technical guidance and product support to customers.
- Lead and supervise technicians during installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Test and assess faulty products and recommend appropriate repair or replacement solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of service requests, repairs, installations, and technical issues.
- Diagnose and resolve technical faults and customer complaints relating to solar products.
- Train and mentor junior technicians on technical and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Ability to supervise and guide junior technicians.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, batteries, and electrical systems.
- Proven experience handling customer complaints and after-sales technical support.
- HND / B.Sc. / B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field with 5 – 7 years of hands-on experience in solar installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and after-sales service.
