Responsible for the strategic oversight of store/inventory operations and financial management, ensuring robust internal controls, accurate reporting, and alignment of stock and financial processes with organizational goals across the business.
Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive financial and inventory reports for senior management/board
- Supervise and mentor store and junior finance/store staff
- Review and approve stock requisitions, purchase orders, and financial vouchers
- Liaise with auditors, senior management, and other departments on store-finance matters
- Oversee end-to-end store/inventory operations including procurement coordination, receiving, storage, and stock control
- Drive process improvements and cost optimization strategies
- Lead financial operations related to store activities — budgeting, cost analysis, and expense management
- Conduct variance analysis on stock consumption vs. financial expenditure
- Ensure full compliance with financial regulations, tax obligations, and company policy
- Develop and enforce internal controls to prevent stock loss, fraud, and financial discrepancies
- Lead periodic audits and reconciliations of stock and financial records
Education
A Master's degree (MBA or related) is an added advantage
