Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Shelling Mechanic to join our production team in Ibafo. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing shelling machines and other mechanical equipment used in a cashew processing plant
.
Candidates with hands-on experience in shelling or similar processing machinery are encouraged to apply. Recent technical school or vocational training graduates are also welcome to apply.
Requirements
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical faults and perform basic repairs.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to machine breakdowns.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of mechanical systems, machine components, tools, and maintenance practices.
- Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Experience maintaining and repairing shelling machines or similar processing machinery is an advantage.
- Commitment to workplace safety and effective teamwork.
- Minimum of OND, Technical Certificate, or Trade Test qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- 1–3 years of hands-on mechanical experience, preferably in a cashew processing plant, agro-allied, or food processing industry.
