Iron Products Industries Limited (IPI) has been active for more than 50 years in Nigeria. The company started as a steelwork manufacturer and has since become the leader in steel fabrication. The group has executed major projects around the country in all sectors with a focus on structural steel and oil and gas. Over the years, IPI has also diversified into automotive assembly, trailer manufacturing, paint manufacturing and logistics.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate engineering and fabrication drawings, interpreting technical specifications, preparing Bills of Materials (BOM), and supporting the production and fabrication teams with detailed drawings.
Requirements
- The candidate must be able to:
- Interpret GA (General Arrangement), fabrication and erection drawings.
- Prepare accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) from drawings.
- Read and understand engineering drawings.
- Produce detailed workshop and fabrication drawings.
- AutoCAD 2D – Must Have:
- Drawing revisions
- Workshop drawings
- Fabrication details
- Layouts
- SolidWorks 3D – Must Have:
- Assembly modelling
- 3D modelling
- Generating fabrication drawings
- Other Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Make revisions and modifications to existing drawings as required
- Ability to take instructions and deliver drawings within specified timelines.
- Basic knowledge of IS Codes, welding symbols and engineering tolerances.
- Knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection processes.
- Ability to work effectively with Engineering, Production and Fabrication teams.
