This role is ideal for someone who enjoys B2B sales, understands how businesses make marketing decisions and can sell the commercial value of access to a highly targeted professional audience.

You will be responsible for identifying prospective sponsors, developing relationships with decision-makers, presenting sponsorship opportunities, negotiating commercial terms and closing deals.

We are looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Sponsorship Sales Executive to grow sponsorship and partnership revenue across Eventhive's growing portfolio of events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation:
  • Identify companies whose commercial objectives align with Eventhive's audiences and event themes.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective clients.
  • Identify and research prospective sponsors, exhibitors and strategic partners across Eventhive's event sectors.
  • Develop relationships with marketing, communications, business development and senior management decision-makers.
  • Conduct outbound prospecting through calls, email, LinkedIn, industry networks and other channels.
  • Sales & Business Development:
  • Present Eventhive's sponsorship, exhibition and partnership opportunities to prospective clients.
  • Understand each prospect's business objectives and recommend appropriate event opportunities.
  • Follow up consistently with prospects throughout the sales cycle.
  • Meet or exceed agreed sponsorship revenue targets.
  • Develop tailored proposals and sponsorship packages in collaboration with relevant internal teams.
  • Convert qualified leads into paying sponsors and partners.
  • Conduct sales meetings, presentations and negotiations.
  • Account Management:
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing sponsors and identify opportunities for repeat business and upselling.
  • Identify opportunities to expand client relationships across Eventhive's wider event portfolio.
  • Work with the operations and marketing teams to ensure sponsors receive agreed deliverables.
  • Understand client expectations and ensure commitments are clearly communicated to internal teams.
  • Pipeline & Reporting:
  • Keep the CRM or sales tracker updated.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, proposals, negotiations and closed deals.
  • Monitor competitor events, sponsorship offerings and market trends.
  • Provide regular pipeline and revenue forecasts.
  • Track conversion rates and identify opportunities to improve the sales process.
  • Event & Industry Engagement:
  • Build a strong understanding of the industries covered by Eventhive's event portfolio.
  • Stay informed about companies entering new markets, launching products, raising capital or expanding their commercial activities.
  • Attend Eventhive events and industry gatherings to meet prospective clients and strengthen relationships.
  • Identify businesses that could benefit from Eventhive's audiences, thought-leadership platforms, exhibitions and media opportunities.

Requirements

  • Comfortable selling to senior decision-makers.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems, spreadsheets and other sales tools.
  • 2–4 years of experience in B2B sales, sponsorship sales, business development, media sales, events or a related commercial role.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation abilities.
  • Commercially aware and able to understand a client's business objectives.
  • Strong prospecting and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong follow-up discipline and pipeline-management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience meeting sales or revenue targets.
  • Experience selling sponsorships, advertising, media, exhibitions, events or professional services is an advantage.
