Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible, organised, and detail-oriented Storekeeper to manage the receipt, storage, issuance, and documentation of hospital supplies and consumables.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with CarePoint Hospitals' inventory control policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical stock with inventory records.
- Monitor stock levels and promptly notify the appropriate supervisor when items require replenishment.
- Assist with internal and external stock audits.
- Maintain accurate records of all stock received, issued, transferred, and remaining.
- Identify and report damaged, expired, missing, or obsolete items.
- Maintain a clean, secure, and well-organised store.
- Liaise with relevant departments to ensure the availability of required supplies.
- Monitor expiry dates and apply appropriate stock rotation practices, including FIFO/FEFO where applicable.
- Prepare regular inventory and stock reports.
- Receive and inspect supplies delivered to the hospital, ensuring quantities and specifications match approved documents.
- Properly arrange, label, and store items to ensure easy identification and accessibility.
- Issue supplies to departments based on authorised requisitions.
Requirements
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively with different departments.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other basic inventory management tools.
- Good knowledge of stock control and inventory management procedures.
- Minimum of OND / HND / B.Sc. in Business Administration, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in storekeeping, inventory management, logistics, or a similar role. Experience in a hospital or healthcare environment is an advantage.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and responsibility.
