CarePoint Hospitals is seeking a
responsible, organised, and detail-oriented Storekeeper
to manage the receipt, storage, issuance, and documentation of hospital supplies and consumables.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect supplies delivered to the hospital, ensuring quantities and specifications match approved documents.
- Maintain accurate records of all stock received, issued, transferred, and remaining.
- Properly arrange, label, and store items to ensure easy identification and accessibility.
- Monitor stock levels and promptly notify the appropriate supervisor when items require replenishment.
- Issue supplies to departments based on authorised requisitions.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical stock with inventory records.
- Monitor expiry dates and apply appropriate stock rotation practices, including FIFO/FEFO where applicable.
- Identify and report damaged, expired, missing, or obsolete items.
- Maintain a clean, secure, and well-organised store.
- Prepare regular inventory and stock reports.
- Assist with internal and external stock audits.
- Liaise with relevant departments to ensure the availability of required supplies.
- Ensure compliance with CarePoint Hospitals\' inventory control policies and procedures.
Requirements
Minimum of
OND/HND/B.Sc.
in Business Administration, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
2–3 years of relevant experience
in storekeeping, inventory management, logistics, or a similar role. Experience in a hospital or healthcare environment is an advantage.
Good knowledge of stock control and inventory management procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other basic inventory management tools.
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively with different departments.
High level of integrity, accountability, and responsibility.
