We are seeking a highly driven, resourceful, and hands-onSupply Chain Manager to lead and optimize the company’s end-to-end supply chain and import/export operations.
The role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, is comfortable building and improving processes, and has practical
managing complex supply chain activities, including international procurement, sourcing, importation, warehousing, inventory management, distribution, and last-mile delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Supply Chain Management:
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies that improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, enhance service delivery, and support business growth.
- Analyze supply chain performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify supply chain risks and develop effective mitigation and contingency plans.
- Monitor product availability and ensure timely replenishment to meet customer and business requirements.
- Manage the end-to-end supply chain, including procurement, international sourcing, importation, exportation, inbound logistics, warehousing, inventory management, distribution, and last-mile delivery.
- Establish and continuously improve supply chain processes, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Procurement & Supplier Management:
- Develop and manage relationships with local and international suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, availability, and timely delivery.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues relating to quality, pricing, delays, shortages, or non-compliance.
- Identify alternative suppliers and sourcing opportunities to reduce supply risks and improve cost efficiency.
- Negotiate commercial terms, payment terms, lead times, minimum order quantities, and delivery schedules.
- Lead supplier sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, onboarding, and performance management.
- Maintain an up-to-date supplier database and ensure appropriate supplier documentation and due diligence are completed.
- Import & Export Operations:
- Ensure accurate calculation and monitoring of freight, duties, taxes, clearance costs, and other landed costs.
- Manage the documentation required for international shipments, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading/airway bills, certificates of origin, permits, and other relevant documentation.
- Monitor shipments from origin through customs clearance and final delivery.
- Identify and resolve customs, documentation, shipping, or clearance issues that may delay the movement of goods.
- Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, clearing agents, and relevant regulatory authorities.
- Coordinate and manage import and export activities, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, trade policies, shipping documentation, and applicable local and international laws.
- Demand Planning & Forecasting:
- Support business planning by providing supply availability, lead-time, and inventory insights.
