Job Summary

Reporting to the GM Technical Operations, you will act as the key liaison between the business and vessel technical managers, driving operational excellence and cost-effective vessel operations.
Experience with AHTS, MPSV, SCV
We are seeking an experienced Technical Superintendent to ensure the seaworthiness of our vessels, meeting company, charterer, and class standards while continuously reducing the annual maintenance budget.
You will manage planned maintenance activities, dry docking, and provide hands-on problem solving for technical issues across the fleet.
Worked aboard a vessel and rose to position of Chief Engineer on the vessel
Experience worked aboard a vessel and transitioned from Offshore to Onshore and work likely as an Assistant Technical Superintendent for a minimum of 3 years
DO NOT NEED Tanker or Cargo Experience
Key Accountabilities
- Monitor and analyze the technical status of all vessels and report summaries to stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the company and vessel technical managers on all technical and operational matters.
- Manage annual maintenance budgets, monitor spend, and report on fuel and lube oil consumption.
- Develop and implement the Planned Maintenance System (PMS), ensuring all maintenance jobs are logged and followed up.
- Monitor defects, ensure timely close-out, and compile weekly reports from vessel managers.
- Ensure vessels meet Class, Marine, and Charterer requirements; support QHSE with planning of surveys and inspections.
- Review and approve work scopes and material requisitions submitted by technical managers.
- Prepare and supervise dry-docking scopes, source vendors, and manage critical spares inventory.
- Conduct root cause investigations for recurring equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of goods and spares to support quick vessel turnaround.
Requirements
- Required:
- Physically fit to board vessels, barges, and tugs at sea and in port.
- Technical Superintendency license.
- 10-15 years’ experience as a Marine Engineer.
- Willingness to travel to out ports.
- Previous experience as a Technical Superintendent (mandatory).
- Extensive knowledge of the marine, tugboat, oil transportation, and shipping industry.
- Ability to make decisions and give clear directions.
- Knowledge of vessel maintenance systems and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Certificate of Competency (COC).
- Offshore sailing experience.
