Job Title: Training Officer

Job Summary
The Training Officer will support the planning, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of training programmes to enhance employee skills, performance, and professional development.
The role will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to identify training needs and deliver effective learning solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify training and development needs through performance reviews, skills-gap analysis, and business requirements.
- Prepare training materials, presentations, manuals, assessments, and other learning resources.
- Prepare periodic training reports and provide insights on programme outcomes.
- Keep abreast of current learning trends, training methodologies, and industry best practices.
- Recommend relevant training interventions based on identified performance and competency gaps.
- Facilitate training sessions or coordinate external trainers and subject-matter experts.
- Support onboarding and induction programmes for new employees.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and post-training reviews.
- Develop and coordinate training programmes, workshops, seminars, and learning sessions.
- Maintain accurate training records, attendance registers, evaluation reports, and employee learning history.
- Monitor training budgets and ensure cost-effective delivery of programmes.
- Manage training schedules, logistics, venues, attendance, and participant communication.
- Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience in a consulting, corporate training, or professional services environment is an added advantage.
- Strong presentation, facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of training needs analysis and learning evaluation methods.
- Professional certification in HR, Learning & Development, or Training is an added advantage.
- Strong organisational and project coordination skills.
- B.Sc. / HND in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- Ability to manage multiple training programmes and stakeholders effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and virtual training platforms.
- 4–5 years' experience in training, learning and development, HR, or a related role.
