Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations.
The ideal candidate must have good knowledge of road safety regulations, vehicle maintenance, and route planning, with a strong commitment to timely deliveries and responsible vehicle handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive company trucks safely to transport goods to designated locations.
- Ensure timely delivery and collection of goods in line with assigned schedules.
- Maintain accurate trip records, delivery notes, and other relevant documents.
- Ensure goods are properly secured and handled during transit.
- Inspect the truck before and after each trip to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Report mechanical faults, accidents, damages, or other vehicle-related issues promptly.
- Keep the truck clean and ensure proper vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate with the relevant team regarding delivery progress, delays, and route challenges.
- Ensure all assigned goods and company property are handled responsibly.
- Comply with traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations.
- Relevant commercial driving experience.
- Valid driver's license with the appropriate vehicle class for the truck being operated.
- Minimum of 2–5 years’ experience as a truck driver.
- Basic knowledge of truck maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to follow instructions, manage time, and maintain accurate trip records.
- Must be reliable, disciplined, safety-conscious, and physically fit for the demands of the role.
- Good knowledge of Lagos roads and major routes.
- Previous experience transporting goods commercially is an added advantage.
