Kings University was established in 2015 by the King’s Ministries Trust, also known as Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC), a Protestant Evangelical Ministry. On March 4, 2015, the University was granted a provisional license by the Federal Government of Nigeria through the National Universities Commission, officially commencing academic activities on February 1, 2016.
