We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Purpose
The role requires a practical understanding of plywood products, building materials, inventory management, warehouse documentation, customer requirements, and market development. The successful candidate will ensure proper handling, storage, identification, and dispatch of products while actively supporting efforts to increase sales and strengthen the company's presence in the construction and building-materials market.
The Warehouse / Marketing Officer will be responsible for the effective coordination of plywood activities while supporting the company's marketing, sales, customer relationship, and product-distribution activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Warehouse & Inventory Management:
- Ensure products are released only against properly authorized documents.
- Monitor the condition and presentation of products before dispatch.
- Monitor stock levels and promptly report low-stock, excess-stock, damaged, or slow-moving products.
- Maintain an orderly, safe, and clean warehouse environment in line with company HSE requirements.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile physical quantities with inventory records.
- Investigate and report stock discrepancies, damages, shortages, or other warehouse irregularities.
- Maintain accurate records of stock receipts, issues, transfers, returns, and dispatches.
- Ensure plywood and related products are properly stacked, labelled, stored, and protected from damage or deterioration.
- Receive, inspect, count, and properly document plywood products entering the warehouse.
- Coordinate loading and dispatch of finished plywood to customers and distributors.
- Marketing & Business Development:
- Follow up on enquiries, quotations, orders, deliveries, and customer feedback.
- Conduct market visits to identify new business opportunities and gather information on customer needs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Support customer acquisition and retention initiatives.
- Support promotional activities, product presentations, exhibitions, dealer engagements, and other marketing initiatives.
- Identify potential customers, distributors, dealers, contractors, furniture manufacturers, builders, and other relevant market segments.
- Support the implementation of marketing and sales activities for plywood
- Provide regular market intelligence reports to management.
- Assist in developing strategies to increase product visibility and sales within assigned markets.
- Monitor market prices, competitor activities, product demand, and emerging market trends.
- Sales & Customer Support:
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries relating to product availability, specifications, pricing, and delivery.
- Coordinate with the Marketing managers and logistics teams to support timely fulfilment of customer orders.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate manager.
- Identify opportunities for repeat business, cross-selling, and customer referrals.
- Maintain proper records of customer enquiries, quotations, orders, and follow-ups.
- Follow up on pending orders and communicate relevant updates to customers.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of stock movement, dispatches, customer orders, and marketing activities.
- Ensure all warehouse and marketing documentation is properly filed and readily available for reference and audit.
- Assist management with stock, sales, and market-related information for decision-making.
- Prepare reports on customer enquiries, sales leads, market visits, competitor activities, and business opportunities.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse and marketing reports as required.
- Compliance, Safety & Internal Control:
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) where required.
- Follow all applicable health, safety, environmental, and security requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and warehouse procedures.
- Prevent unauthorized access to warehouse stock and promptly report suspicious activities or losses.
- Maintain high standards of accountability and integrity in handling company products, documents, and customer transactions.
Requirements

- Practical knowledge of warehouse and inventory management processes.
- Good understanding of the plywood and building-materials market.
Experience
dealing with dealers, distributors, contractors, furniture manufacturers, builders, or other B2B customers is desirable.
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Purchasing & Supply, or a related discipline.
in a plywood manufacturing, building-materials, or construction-materials company will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant
