Greenville LNG Company Limited is the pioneer Domestic LNG producer in Nigeria with the objective of extending gas supplies to regions not reached by gas pipelines thereby making available a competitive source of energy to boost the economy. Greenville LNG Plant is in Rumuji near Port-Harcourt and has customer locations in Lagos, Kaduna, Kano, Enugu, Sokoto, Aba and other cities nationwide.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title:
Warehouse Officer
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
About the Job
To carry out the above duties and other jobs as instructed by the superior.
Sorting, tagging, packing and loading of materials.
Ensure proper documentation.
Ensure proper warehouse and materials housekeeping.
Material offloading, physical counting, tagging and receiving of consignments from vendors.
Compliance with all material handling techniques and safety procedures.
Ensure proper materials counting and recordings.
Issuance of materilas to user departments by adequately following SOP and policies.
Adequately stacking and binning of materials on allocated bin locations.
Compliance with warehouse SOP and policies
Qualifications
- Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop warehouse staff, fostering teamwork, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize warehouse operations and solve complex logistics challenges.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing business needs and market conditions.
- Minimum of 2+ years experience in warehouse management, distribution, or logistics operations, with a track record of managing large-scale warehouses or distribution centers.
- ND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; master's degree, Bachelor's degree or professional certification (e.g., APICS, CSCP) is a plus.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control software, and Microsoft Office applications for data analysis, reporting, and communication.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, security protocols, and workplace health standards governing warehouse operations, including OSHA requirements.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management principles, logistics processes, and supply chain best practices, with experience in implementing warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, negotiate with stakeholders, and communicate effectively with internal and external partners.
