We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Well Intervention Engineer

Locations:

Delta, Lagos and Rivers

Key Accountabilities

• Coordinate, review, and approve well programs (completion, workover, slickline, wellhead, coiled tubing, E-line, fishing, etc.) and End of Well Reports prepared by Completions/WO Engineers.
• Coordinate design, planning, and management of completion and workover engineering activities, ensuring full integration with the WE/CWI Operations team and other relevant asset teams.
• Technical Review & Cost Control:
• Coordinate and review technical specifications and scope of work for equipment to be tendered and services for completion, workover, slickline, wellhead, coiled tubing, and well testing.
• Coordinate and review well cost estimates for future operations budgets and current AFEs, ensuring data reliability.
• Participate effectively in well engineering technical meetings and committee setups.
• Appraise new drilling, completion, workover, wireline, and well testing technology and products to determine their application for completion operations, improving time, cost performance, and safety conditions.
• Safety Leadership & EHS Compliance.:
• Work closely with Petroleum, Production, and Operations to track well performance and continually optimize well design.
• Check and verify that all field service tickets issued for services provided by third-party service companies are accurately recorded, verifying compliance with contract terms.
• Participate in compiling the well risk register and well barrier review.
• Ensure full support to budget and cost performance. Attend meetings, produce reports, create and maintain a database for budget control, and issue monthly reports.
• Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot major operational problems, such as fishing, kicks, or serious accidents that may occur during operations.
• Coordinate, plan, and generate procedures for all completion operations and well intervention work.
• Ensure the definition of mud/cement characteristics, specifications, and sequence of phases, in cooperation with Petroleum, Exploration, and Production Departments for well downhole operations.
• Manage and maintain well integrity for the asset by planning and execution.
• Demonstrate safety leadership.
• Manage and control schedules, ensuring efficient well cycle time.
• Plan and coordinate service company involvement and personnel requirements.
• Report to the Completion and Workover Manager on daily progress of operations, emphasizing critical jobs performed, discussing next courses of action, and obtaining instructions and clarifications on any amendments to the work program.
• Coordinate and verify in advance the availability of all surface and downhole equipment as per the work program (type, specification, quality, quantity) to meet objectives.
• Provide technical guidance for the development and optimization of performance standards.
• Ensure that Well Completion, Re-completion, Workover, Plug and Abandonment programs are implemented in compliance with Company’s EHS policies and regulations, and that contractors are supervised and motivated to perform jobs with high technical and EHS standards.
• Review work performance of the WO Rig and other service contractors. Inform the Workover Manager in time about contractors whose performance does not fulfill contractual obligations.
• Ensure effective EHS compliance and policies of the Company during well engineering planning and execution.
• Certifications
• IWCF (International Well Control Forum) or IADC Well Cap Level 4 certification, renewed every two years.
• Valid BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training)
