Key Accountabilities

• Content Research and Idea Development:
• Research trending, relevant, and engaging topics around relationships, marriage, dating, personal development, and related subjects.
• Monitor conversations, audience interests, viral discussions, and emerging trends across relevant social media platforms.
• Identify content ideas that are timely, relatable, informative, thought-provoking, or likely to encourage meaningful audience engagement.
• Research viral hooks, opening lines, video formats, storytelling approaches, and content styles used by relevant creators.
• Review similar creators and accounts to identify content opportunities without simply copying their work.
• Prepare organized lists of content ideas, references, suggested hooks, and brief explanations of why each topic may resonate with the target audience.
• Keep up with relevant social media trends and recommend ideas that align with the brand’s voice and objectives.
• Short-Form Video Editing:
• Edit recorded videos into engaging short-form content suitable for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts, as applicable.
• Use CapCut or similar software to trim footage, arrange clips, add subtitles, insert on-screen text, apply basic transitions, and improve pacing.
• Ensure videos are clear, properly formatted, and suitable for the intended platform.
• Create strong openings and maintain appropriate pacing to help capture and retain viewers’ attention.
• Review edited videos for spelling, caption accuracy, sound quality, visual consistency, and other basic quality checks.
• Make revisions based on feedback and ensure final videos meet the required standard before publishing.
• Content Publishing and Distribution:
• Upload and publish approved content across the brand’s designated social media platforms.
• Prepare appropriate captions, descriptions, hashtags, and other publishing details where required.
• Ensure content is published according to the agreed schedule and platform requirements.
• Adapt or reformat existing content for different platforms when necessary.
• Confirm that published content displays correctly and maintain records of publication links and dates.
• Follow the established review and approval process before posting content.
• Content Calendar and Asset Management:
• Help maintain the weekly and monthly content calendar.
• Track the status of each content item, from research and recording through editing, approval, scheduling, and publication.
• Organize video files, captions, references, edited versions, and other content assets for easy retrieval.
• Follow up on outstanding content or approvals to help prevent publishing delays.
• Keep the team informed about completed tasks, pending items, and upcoming content deadlines.
• Basic Content Performance Monitoring:
• Monitor basic metrics such as views, reach, likes, comments, shares, saves, and watch time where available.
• Identify topics, hooks, and formats that appear to perform particularly well.
• Highlight recurring audience questions, comments, and conversations that could generate future content ideas.
• Prepare simple content performance updates and practical observations.
• Use these observations to suggest ideas for future content, while leaving broader content strategy and major decisions to the brand lead.
• Communication and General Support:
• Work closely with Israel Onadare and any other team members involved in content production.
• Communicate progress, raise challenges early, and seek clarification when content direction is unclear.
• Respond constructively to feedback and implement revisions within agreed timelines.
• Handle unpublished content, account access, and brand materials responsibly and confidentially.
• Carry out other reasonable content production and publishing support tasks related to the role.

Requirements

• Practical experience in content research, social media assistance, content creation, or a related field.
• A good understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and other relevant social media platforms.
• Ability to identify trending topics, relevant conversations, viral formats, and engaging hooks.
• Basic short-form video editing skills using CapCut, InShot, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with subtitles, text overlays, basic transitions, aspect ratios, and platform-specific video formatting.
• Strong research, writing, and information-organizing skills.
• Good attention to detail, time management, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• A creative mindset and the ability to contribute fresh, relevant content ideas.
• Proactive work habits, reliability, and the ability to work independently with appropriate guidance.
• Willingness and ability to attend the required two physical workdays each week.
• Openness to feedback and a willingness to learn, improve, and adapt.
