Job Summary
The Brand & Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing brand and marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, consumer engagement, market penetration, sales growth and brand profitability.
The role will oversee assigned brands from strategy and positioning through campaign execution, trade marketing, activations, digital marketing and performance analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with Sales, Finance and Operations to ensure marketing activities translate into measurable commercial results.
We are looking for a commercially minded marketer with strong brand management experience, creative thinking and the ability to move seamlessly from strategy to execution.
Key Accountabilities
Develop and execute annual brand and marketing strategies aligned with commercial objectives.
Manage assigned brands, including positioning, consumer strategy, brand growth and market expansion.
Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital, traditional media, events, activations and trade channels.
Drive trade marketing initiatives that support sales volume, value, distribution and brand visibility.
Develop on-trade and off-trade activation programmes across relevant outlets and channels.
Oversee digital marketing, social media and relevant influencer/partnership initiatives.
Conduct market, consumer and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities and threats.
Manage marketing budgets and evaluate campaign effectiveness and return on marketing investment.
Work closely with Sales, distributors and key accounts to translate brand strategy into commercial initiatives.
Manage agencies, vendors and other marketing partners to ensure quality and timely delivery.
Track brand performance, campaign results, market penetration, visibility and other agreed KPIs.
Provide management with actionable insights and recommendations based on brand and market performance.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Advertising or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in brand management, marketing, trade marketing or FMCG.
CIM or equivalent professional marketing qualification is an advantage.
MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
Strong experience in Wine & Spirits, FMCG, Beverages, Hospitality, Consumer Goods or related sectors is highly desirable.
Proven experience managing brands and marketing campaigns from strategy through execution.
Experience working with Sales teams, distributors, agencies and trade partners.
Strong understanding of the Nigerian consumer and trade environment.
Experience managing marketing budgets and measuring campaign performance/ROI.
Strong commercial orientation, analytical ability, creativity and execution skills.
Salary: N1,000,000 – N1,500,000 gross monthly
